Who we are

Lineups is an iPhone app for hockey coaches, listed on the App Store as RinkNotes. It is published by Wispera AI Inc. ("we"). This website, rinknotes.app, is the app's home. You can reach us at hello@wispera.ai.

The short version

• Lineups collects no data. We don't receive your rosters, lines, games or notes.
• There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking in the app, and the app makes no internet connection of its own.
• What you enter is kept in the app on your iPhone. Some of it can leave your phone when you share it, or through features of your phone and of Apple's services that you control. They're listed below.

Screenshots, photos and the camera

When you add a roster from screenshots or a photo, the app reads the text in the image on your iPhone and keeps only names, jersey numbers and positions, after you review them. The images themselves are not saved by the app. Anything else visible in them, such as parents' names, phone numbers or email addresses, is set aside during review and not stored.

The app asks for camera access only if you choose to photograph a paper roster. You can turn it off at any time in the iPhone's Settings.

Information about players who are children

Many players are children. Lineups is used by coaches, not by players, and keeps the minimum a coach needs to set a lineup: a name, a jersey number and hockey details. It is kept on the coach's own phone; we don't receive it. Please enter only players you coach, as you would on a paper lineup card.

When information leaves your phone

The app doesn't send anything anywhere by itself. Information can leave your phone in these ways, each of which you or your phone's settings control:

• Sharing a card. When you share lines, the app makes an image of the card: your name, the team, the opponent and date, the players' names and numbers on the lineup, and the talk line. You choose where it goes. Your notes are never included.
• Backups. If your iPhone backs up to iCloud or a computer, the app's data is included, under Apple's terms and your settings.
• Keyboards and dictation. Text you type or dictate passes through the keyboard you use. A third-party keyboard is covered by its maker's policy.
• Copy and paste. Text you copy may reach your other Apple devices through Universal Clipboard, if you have it on.
• Beta testing. If you test Lineups through TestFlight, Apple's TestFlight lets you send us feedback with a screenshot, and may send us crash reports. These come to us through Apple. Please don't include screenshots of a real roster or of notes; describe the problem in words or use a made-up roster.

What we receive, and what we do with it

Only what you choose to send us: an email, TestFlight feedback, or a crash report. We use it to answer you and to fix and improve the app. We don't sell it or use it for advertising, and we'll delete it if you ask.

Deleting your information

You can delete players, games and whole teams in the app. Deleting the app removes everything it kept on your iPhone. Copies in your backups follow your backup settings.

Changes to this policy

A future version of Lineups may offer optional features that use an online service, such as keeping your teams in step across devices, run by or for Wispera AI Inc. on rinknotes.app. Before any such feature arrives, we will update this policy and the app's App Store privacy details, and the app will ask you before any of your information is sent. The date at the top shows when this page last changed.
